Xmas Wreath FAQs
-
A fresh Christmas wreath lasts 6-8 weeks outdoors with regular misting and 1-2 weeks indoors, depending on how warm your home is. Cooler, shadier spots keep it fresher for longer.
-
Mist your wreath with cool water every 2-3 days, ideally in the morning so it can dry slightly during the day. Hang it out of direct sun and away from heat sources for the longest life.
-
Yes. Fresh evergreen wreaths are made for outdoor use and hold up well in cool, damp West Coast weather. A covered porch or sheltered door will help it last even longer.
-
Yes, but expect a shorter lifespan of about 1-2 weeks. Keep it away from fireplaces, radiators, and heating vents, and mist it regularly to slow drying.
-
Every 2-3 days is a good rule. Mist lightly on the front and back, and skip misting during freezing temperatures so ice doesn't form on the greens.
-
Plain cool water is all you need. If you want extra protection, an anti-desiccant spray made for evergreens can help lock in moisture, but it's optional.
-
It shouldn't if you hang it properly. Use a wreath hanger over the top of the door or an adhesive hook, and place a soft cloth or felt pad behind the wreath to protect paint and wood from moisture.
-
Yes. The mix of pine, fir, cedar and eucalyptus gives off a natural, fresh evergreen scent, strongest when the wreath is new and after misting.
-
Each wreath is hand-crafted from locally harvested pine, eucalyptus, fir and cedar, finished with seed pods, grasses, rosehips and a brass bell.
-
A little needle drop is normal, especially indoors or as the wreath ages. If it's excessive, the wreath is likely drying out. Move it somewhere cooler and mist more often.
-
Fresh evergreens are fully compostable. Remove the brass bell and any wire, then compost the greens or drop them at your local green-waste or yard-trimmings collection.
